Monkeypox not presently a global public health emergency
Monkeypox is not yet a global health emergency, the World Health
Organization (WHO) ruled on Saturday, although WHO Director-General
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said he was deeply concerned about the
outbreak.
The monkeypox outbreak does not currently constitute a global public health concern, the World Health Organization (WHO) said, though “intense response efforts” are needed to control further spread.
